Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Vibrix project website. Vibrix is experimental open-source operating-system software, not a commercial service or a finished consumer product.
1. Website and project information
The website provides documentation, development updates, source-code links, roadmap information and experimental software-related material. Content may change without notice as the project evolves.
2. Experimental software
Vibrix is under active development. Features described as planned, future, experimental, QEMU-tested or conceptual must not be interpreted as production readiness, hardware compatibility, data-safety guarantees or fitness for a particular purpose. Back up important data before experimenting with low-level software.
3. Open-source license
Source code and other materials covered by the repository's 0BSD license are licensed under that license, not under these website terms. Where a file identifies a different license or third-party rights, those terms control for that material.
4. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and project materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties or guarantees. The 0BSD license contains the controlling warranty disclaimer for licensed software.
5. External services and links
The site is hosted using GitHub Pages and links to GitHub and other external resources. External services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Vibrix does not control third-party websites.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the website or project infrastructure, attempt to interfere with hosting or deployment, impersonate contributors, or use project branding to falsely imply endorsement or an official relationship.
7. Contributions
Contributions to the repository are governed by the repository license and contribution documentation. Public GitHub contributions, issues and pull requests may remain visible in repository history according to GitHub's services and policies.
8. Intellectual property and names
The 0BSD license grants broad rights to covered source code. It does not by itself grant rights in third-party trademarks, service marks, contributor identities, or material expressly identified as belonging to another party. Do not misrepresent a modified or unrelated project as the official Vibrix project.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, project contributors are not liable for losses arising from use of experimental project materials. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated as the project or website changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current published version.
11. Contact
For project matters, use the public Vibrix GitHub repository and its issue/discussion mechanisms where appropriate. Security-sensitive reports should not be posted publicly; use GitHub's private security reporting features when available.
