The first Mac preview downloaded Wine and checked its hash. The next step now unpacks and registers it, adds a full integrity check, and gives setup the site's flower branding and a dark-pink interface.
A downloadable app is only the start of a useful test. This preview adds Run client checks, Export report… and the matching mallow diagnostics command, so a report identifies its build, prerequisites and observed timings.
Mallow now has its first native setup preview. It follows the tested library foundation with a small SwiftUI app, a bootstrap CLI and automatic development-build packaging. It is a real test surface, but not a Windows launcher yet.
A short post, but an important one. In the first draft of our design, this project was called Decanter. It's now Mallow. Here's why, and why we care about names more than you might expect.
